Why do you collect personal data?

So that I can provide you with the very best photographic service, I need to collect some personal data.  Under the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK)/General Data Protection Regulations the legal basis for collecting this personal data is to fulfil our contract. On booking a service, I will need some information from you, including names, contact details and e-signatures.

This data enables me to communicate with you about your photographs and your photography session and to ensure you receive the services you are booking.  

If you sign a model release allowing me to use images of you for my own purposes, I will need to keep your name, email address and signature as a permanent record of that agreement.

What do you do with my personal data?

Your personal data will be used to communicate with you about the photography services you have requested, and your email address added to my database of past clients who are first to be notified of new offers and model calls. If at any time you change your mind, please email me at hello@evephoto.co.uk or use the unsubscribe button on an email you have received.

I use Session to manage bookings, contracts, questionnaires and model releases, and they act as a data processor for me.  Their privacy policy is here for you to refer to, if you wish.

I use Pixieset to deliver client galleries and for my online store- their privacy policy is here.

Payments are taken via Stripe, and are are subject to their own privacy policy.

Squarespace provides my website, their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are available for you to view.  I do not collect personal data of any kind when you use my website with the exception of contact information which you provide with any enquiry that you make.

How long do you keep my personal data?

If you are a client of mine, in that we have a contract, I am legally required to keep your data, including that contract and associated personal data for a period of 7 years after the contract is complete.  If you have contacted me about services but have not become a client, I will delete your emails after 1 year.

Signed contracts and releases (paper and electronic) are stored securely with access limited only to myself.

What about my images?

Under no circumstances will I share, license or sell your images to any third parties without obtaining your specific consent through a contract or model release.  Likewise I only use images on my website, social media and print marketing for which I have obtained permission.

I use Pixieset or Session to provide your online gallery which is always either password protected or otherwise restricted only to you.

If you purchase images from me, whether digital or in print, you take full responsibility for the security and protection of those images once you have taken custody of them.

If you have signed a Model Release, I will always abide by the terms of that release and will retain that release and your contact information permanently in order to contact you about that model release.
